Cloud Bear
Volume One in the Cloud Bear Series

Connected to a world of rotary phones, busses, comic books, and cornflakes is the untamed world of spectacular creatures known as Benison. Some Benison choose to share their vast and unique powers with select people, who have long been fascinated by Benison and their world. Cyrus is one such person, and the Benison he is most intrigued by are the elusive cloud bears.

Cyrus lives in Moonwater—a fortified town full of people like him, with powers given to them by Benison. However, at only sixteen, the time has come for Cyrus to leave his beloved home.

For a year now, Cyrus has been suffering from a terminal illness, and he’s growing steadily weaker. Before he dies, there are two things he wants to accomplish. Secretly, he wishes to find the cloud bear he’s convinced took care of him as a baby. Most importantly, he has a task to complete. Long ago, he was given this mysterious task by the only mother figure he’s ever known. Cyrus is well aware it might be impossible to succeed.

Whatever happens, Cyrus knows one thing—he’s going to complete this task or give what’s left of his life trying.

Snow Claw
Cloud Bear: Volume Two

Cyrus is finally on his way to completing Sassa’s task—he’s eliminated one leader of the secretive organization, Carrow, and even managed to rescue five cloud bears as an unexpected bonus.

The next leader of Carrow is Lawrence Baxter, a famous opera composer who lives in the beautiful island city of Lythia. However, eliminating Baxter isn’t the only issue Cyrus has to worry about.

The Wyz-Skotian is in danger from Carrow and other mysterious threats. Albicollis, Annette’s god and Lunestella’s friend, is still missing. And now, Sassa’s successor has appeared, demanding Cyrus give up and allow her to complete Sassa’s task, and she won’t take no for an answer.

Well, Cyrus has never been one to give up. He’ll complete Sassa’s task, no matter where it takes him, whether that’s trapped in the depths of Lucidus or twisting through the maze-like halls of an ancient temple.

Cyrus’ remaining time is precious, and he doesn’t intend to waste a minute.

Caged Cub
Cloud Bear: Volume Three

With no idea where to find the next leader of Carrow, Cyrus and his companions prepare to follow the advice of the cloud bear siblings and seek out the high-range Benison known as Mephisti. If Fortune is on their side, he’ll be able to point them in the right direction.

However, Mephisti lives in Mirrathis—the remote Great City of Benison in Lucidus. Even getting there requires traveling through the untamed country of Ithus, and that’s a challenge in and of itself. Asa Hill’s former Ithian employees are rampaging across both the world above and Lucidus, carving a bloody trail of carnage and chaos.

Unnatural dead areas keep appearing in Lucidus. What is creating them, and what fatal infection is causing some Benison to become insane and violent? Are the two phenomena connected?

Meanwhile, Cyrus’ illness takes a turn for the worse. He’s noticeably weaker, but more than that, new, strange symptoms begin to affect him.

Matters may seem more dire than ever before, but at least this time, Cyrus and the others have a Two on the Softness Scale by their side.
